3D Scanning Service for Parts, Prototypes and Objects | Reverse Engineering & 3D Printing
Based in Noosa, Sunshine Coast, Australia!!! Digitise your parts with exceptional accuracy — perfect for CAD, engineering workflows, reverse engineering, and 3D printing.
What’s Included
We offer professional 3D scanning services using the Revopoint MIRACO Plus, delivering high-resolution digital models in STL, OBJ, or PLY formats. We also utilise QuickSurface for precise surfacing and the creation of CAD-ready geometry.
With a background in mechanical engineering and a strong command of SolidWorks and parametric modelling, we understand the demands of engineering-grade outputs and tailor our workflow accordingly.
This service is ideal for:
- Reverse engineering
- Part replication
- Prototyping and design
- Digital archiving
- Product or sculpture digitization
- 3D printing and visualization
Technical Specifications:
- Precision: Up to 0.02 mm
- Accuracy: 0.05 – 0.1 mm (surface-dependent; preparation techniques are used to optimise results)
- Output Formats: STL, OBJ, PLY
- Post-Processing: Includes basic mesh cleanup (hole filling, noise reduction, minor smoothing)
Optional STEP/IGES CAD-ready exports available via QuickSurface.
How the Process Works:
1. Contact Us First – Send clear photos and a short description of your object (size, material, purpose) so we can assess its suitability for scanning.
2. Receive a Custom Quote – Based on your submission, we’ll provide a tailored quote reflecting the item’s complexity and your desired output. If accepted, we’ll create a custom listing specifically for your project.
3. Send or Drop Off Your Item – We are based in Noosa, QLD, Australia. Shipping details will be provided after we’ve reviewed and accepted your project.
4. We Scan & Process – Your item is scanned using the MIRACO Plus and processed with professional software including QuickSurface and SolidWorks when applicable.
Receive Your File – You’ll be sent a secure download link to access your final 3D model.
Need a physical replica? Ask about our optional 3D printing service.
Important Notes:
- This is a digital service — the final deliverable is a 3D model file.
- Scanning accuracy may be affected by dark, shiny, or transparent surfaces. A temporary matte scanning spray may be used — it's safe, non-toxic, and evaporates within 30 minutes.
- CAD-ready conversions and engineering-grade results require additional processing and will be quoted separately.
- All parts must be sent in for scanning — we do not currently offer mobile or on-site scanning.
Optional Add-Ons:
- Watertight mesh suitable for 3D printing
- STEP/IGES files for CAD workflows (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.)
- Custom 3D print of your scanned model
Before Ordering
Please message with:
- A brief description of your object (size, material, purpose)
- Clear photos from multiple angles
- Any special requirements (e.g., CAD-ready file, watertight mesh)
- We’ll provide a custom quote and turnaround estimate.
Trusted. Accurate. Professionally Engineered.
This is a precision-driven 3D scanning service, backed by engineering knowledge and CAD expertise — ideal for clients who demand high-quality, usable digital models.
